THANK YOU for volunteering at Toronto Ribfest 2017! We could not host this event without the support of our many dedicated volunteers! Some hints as your register:

    1. All information is confidential.
    2. Don't forget your PASSWORD. It gives you lots of options to manage your shifts later.
    3. FIRST scroll down to read about our jobs and decide what you would like to do. There are 3 shifts a day for most jobs, with the last shift starting at 7 p.m. The calendar will tell you what shifts are available. When applying notice that you can FILTER by the roles that most interest you to make it easier.
    4. Please keep in mind that we have lots of student volunteers during the day but really value our adult volunteers for the EVENING shifts!
    5. July 1 is a HOLIDAY and we need lots of volunteers! Bonus: Fireworks!
6 You get a FREE voucher for food anytime you sign up for 2 shifts in a row.
    7. If you work the LATE SHIFT we will arrange company for you to your car or transit stop if you wish.

We look forward to seeing you at Toronto Ribfest!

    Opportunity Roles

    Set Up and Tear Down

We need lots of help setting up the park for Ribfest and when Ribfest is over, we have only one day to return the park to its original state! We need many hands to put things up and take them down, load and carry, clean up, etc. Wear your grubbies and come on out. Lunch provided.

Green Team and Green Team Supervisors

Toronto Ribfest is committed to getting Greener and our goal is to divert 85% of the festival’s waste away from landfills as well as ensure our site is the cleanest Festival site in the city! Working in teams [multi-generational if you like], volunteers will sort and ensure that resources are diverted appropriately. Team supervisor positions are also available so let us know if you're interested.

    Beer Tent Staff

We need volunteers to sell and serve beer in the Beer Tents and our Satellite Bars. You must be at least 19 years of age and have SMART SERVE CERTIFICATION. Information about getting this training is available from the Volunteer Coordinator.

    Event Support

We need volunteers to help in STORES - where we store, maintain inventory and ensure delivery of drinks, ice and propane throughout the grounds. We also need volunteers to work in teams in PARKING and TRAFFIC CONTROL. Volunteers also help with crowd MONITORING and GATE CONTROL. Great jobs for those with lots of energy and enthusiasm and who enjoy variety. IMPORTANT NOTE: If you are registering for the morning shift, please register if possible for BOTH the 9:30 a.m. shift and the 11 a.m. shift. as this is important setup and planning time.

    Support to Special Attractions

Toronto Ribfest hosts a Kidz Zone for younger children. While professional entertainers and youth volunteers keep the children and their parents entertained, we need an adult volunteer to generally monitor the area.

    Volunteer Support

The Volunteer Center is the hub for all volunteer activities. Help with REGISTRATION, delivering SUPPLIES to volunteers on site, or rotate in to various jobs to help with SHIFT CHANGES. This role is for those who like variety, enjoy people and have good organizational skills.

There are many other miscellaneous jobs that need to be done at the event. If you are willing to do whatever we need most, sign up for this option!
