    BrewLoops is a 5 day beer and bike festival celebrating Kamloops culture with special events in a variety of locations around the city. The events include a VIP Cask/Theatrically Inspired Event, Tailgate Style Outdoor Block Party, Brewery Dinners, Tap Takeovers, Beer Brewing Seminars, Home Brew Competition, Mountain Bike Races, Beer Pairing Brunch, Farmers Market Tasting and Guided Group Mountain Bike Rides.

    This multi-day event is sure to provide you with an experience you aren't going to forget. In its second year, BrewLoops is going to showcase some of the best beer, food and mountain biking the world has to offer and we hope you will join us in making this event a success.

    Volunteers are needed for the following events:
    *Block Party at Red Beard Cafe, located at Yew and Tranquille, on Friday, September 30.
    *The Cask Party at the Rex, located at 417 Seymour St. - Set up on Friday, September 30 and during event Saturday, October 1.
    *Kamloops Farmers Market at the DoubleTree buy Hilton, located at 339 St Paul St. - Saturday, October 1st.
    *The Harper Mountain Event and Bike race on Saturday October 1st.
    *Sunday Funday at the Kenna Cartwright park entrance on Hillside Dr. in Dufferin.

    Please note that some positions require Serving it Right, do not apply for these positions if you do not have proof of certification

    Opportunity Roles

    Block Party - Set up

    Setting up chairs, booths and fencing etc. at Red Beard Cafe (located at 449 Tranquille).

    Block Party - Event Staff

    There are a variety of duties needed such as: front door staff (checking tickets & directing traffic), assisting with security and brewery service (clearing cups and wiping tables).

    Block Party - Clean up

    Assist with the taking down of booths, chairs, tables, fencing etc. at Red Beard Cafe. Physically demanding.

    Bike Pub Crawl - Security

    Provide bike security for the bike riders at Red Collar, the Noble Pig and Red Beard Cafe.

    Farmers Market - Event Staff

    Setting up of the booths and tables and helping with take-down and clean up at the end of the day. Farmers market is located at the DoubleTree by Hilton located 339 St Paul St.

    Farmers Market - Beer Protestors

    Dress up in appropriate era attire (costumes provided) and walk through the farmers market acting as prohibition activists. Farmers market is located at the Doubletree by Hilton located 339 St Paul St.

    Cask Party - Set up

    Setting up tables, chairs and furniture at the Rex (located at 417 Seymour). May be physically demanding.

    Cask Night - Furniture Movers

    Lifting and moving furniture from Amazing Inspirations to and from the Rex.

    Cask Night - Brewery Service

    Assist breweries by helping to collect beer tickets. Must have Serving It Right.

    Cask Party - Event Staff

    There are a variety of positions needed for this event, which include: assisting paid security, front door workers (checking tickets, allocating glass wear, selling door tickets & 50/50), drink ticket sellers. Must be willing to dress in theme.

    Cask Party - Clean up

    General clean up of the Cask event venue (The Rex - located at 417 Seymour Street)

    Harper Event - Set up

    Setting up of tables, chairs and tents at the Harper Mountain Event. May be physically demanding

    Harper Event - General Duties

    General duties at Harper Mountain event on race day. This is separate from the Harper bike race volunteers

    Harper Event - Bike Race Volunteers

    This includes but not limited to segment timers, course marshals and aid station workers for the Bike Race at Harper Mountain.

    Kenna Cartwright - General Duties

    General duties at the Kenna Cartwright event include assisting with the set up and take down of the airbag. This is separate from the Kenna Cartwright Bike Race volunteers

    Kenna Cartwright/Pineview Bike Race volunteers

    This includes but not limited to; segment timers, on course marshals, parking marshals and finish corral guides
