    Our Mission

The Breast Cancer Society of Canada's mission is to save lives through breast cancer research.

    Our Vision
    An end to breast cancer.

The Breast Cancer Society of Canada is a national organization with a family focused foundation, firmly established in 1991 by Lawrence and Kay Greenaway, in honour of their daughter Pam, who died of breast cancer just one year later at the age of 38. She left behind two small children and a loving husband. Her family members positively transformed their deep loss into a mission to save lives through breast cancer research.

Decades later, much of this family based legacy is being carried forward by a growing number of dedicated volunteers across Canada. Though many come from different backgrounds and have different life experiences, they are united in helping us save lives. Volunteers make it possible for the Society to fund over $1 million towards life saving research each year!

Thank you for sharing our vision to end breast cancer.
